Sea kayak trips along the Devon coast and in the heart of this stunning county

Our Devon Sea Kayaking Day Trips and Beginner Courses are open to all and can be enjoyed by experienced kayakers, first timers and all levels in between. You will have the chance to explore some of Devon's wonderful countryside and to appreciate its stunning, almost spiritual, natural beauty while paddling at a relaxed pace along its rivers, estuaries, lakes, canals and coastline.

Your coach and leader Xavier Haines of Devon Kayaks has earned a reputation of organising stunning, chilled out, explorational kayaking tours to some amazing scenic locations along our beautiful coast. 

Xavier has found some wonderful spots, which he loves to share with his group and enjoys regular visits, all year round, with his associated paddlers group that he runs with Devon Kayaks and which you can become a part of - whether you’re an experienced paddler, intermediate, or simply a beginner.

Although based in Exmouth, all courses and trips are organised in different locations, depending on weather, tides and the group's abilities. 

We cover an area from Lulworth Cove in Dorset down too Looe in Cornwall although Exmouth, Teignmouth and Exeter Quay are where the beginner courses are run. These are local paddles, usually from Seaton down to Plymouth.

You can meet us on location, and we'll provide all the kit and kayaks for your day's trip or beginners session. A meeting point can be organised around Exeter and you can travel in our kayak van which seats five people - a contribution towards fuel will be arranged. 

We provide everything you will need to make your day with us totally enjoyable and relaxing, as we paddle to some truly wonderful locations. Your trip will be led by a qualified Paddle UK kayak instructor who will make sure that you are safe and well looked after.

On each trip we aim to take you to stunning locations around the beautiful county of Devon, visiting deserted beaches and coves where you can swim, snorkel and relax (weather permitting), before returning at a gentle pace.
